Rund einen Monat lang wurde das aktuelle Client-Update in Form einer Beta getestet und erweitert, nun wurde es für alle Steam-Nutzer veröffentlicht. Die wichtigste Neuerung bekommen die User allerdings nicht zu Gesicht, dabei handelt es sich um ein neues Grundgerüst für den Downloadmechanismus, das in den nächsten Wochen und Monaten zahlreiche Verbesserungen und neue Funktionen erlauben soll.
Doch es gibt auch direkt nutzbare Neuerungen, etwa eine Suchfunktion (STRG + F) für den Ingame-Browser, der nun auch einen "Link kopieren" Eintrag im Kontextmenü enthält. Auch die freiwillige Facebook-Verknüpfung wurde ausgeweitet. Der Changelog im Detail:

Natürlich gibt es auch eine Reihe an Bugfixes, diese reichen von Performanceverbesserungen über behobene Absturzprobleme bis zu einigen Änderungen im Screenshot-System. Das Update wird wie immer spätestens beim nächsten Start von Steam automatisch runtergeladen und installiert.
